The Jerusalem Committee belongs to the Palestinian NGOs Network (PNGON), and was founded in 1993 through the convergence of 24 Jerusalemite Palestinian organizations that are members of PNGON and work in the different developmental and relief sectors. These organizations work together to meet the public interest in order to unify the efforts of the institutional work that supports the steadfastness and rights of Jerusalemites inside the holy city (Jerusalem). This Committee also seeks to establish the fact that Jerusalem is the perpetual capital of the Palestinian State, a political, cultural, spiritual, social and economical center for the Palestinian people, and is open to people from all over the world as a symbol of the strategic Palestinian peace.
