Our condolences to Civil Society Leader and Palestinian Public Figure:
It is with great sadness that the Palestinian Non-Government Organizations management and staff learned of the passing of Dr. AllamJarrar. On behalf of all Palestinians, PNGO members, and civil society organizations as a whole we send our deepest condolences to Dr. AllamJarrar’s family and the people of Palestine at this very difficult time. Dr. Allam has dedicated several decades of his life towards supporting the Palestinians cause especially in the first Intifada 1987 as a Civil Activist- leader and one of the founders of the popular Committees groups in Nablus.
Dr. Jarrar also is one of the founders of the Palestinian Non-Government Organizations Network which was established in 1993. He had a clear mission, vision, and always fought for Palestinian independence, freedom from occupation, where Palestinians enjoy democracy, tolerance, dignity, social justice, rule of law and respect for human rights. Occupationand curfews did not hold him back in his resistance to occupation. He went out of his way to assist the poor and treatment of the wounded and sick. His journey also included organizing Medical relief campaigns to Palestinian villages, refugee camps and vulnerable areas.
There are a few people who have had such a profound impact on the future of Civil Society than Dr. AllamJarrar. His passionate determination and hard work will not be forgotten, we assure you that your journey has not ended and that we will continue your journey till the end. We will protect and fight for the independence of Civil Society through supporting and developing of our organizations and enhance the steadfastness and resilience through our services for Palestinians.
