Palestinian Non Government Organizations Network Condemns the Israeli Occupation Forces Seize of Civil Society Activists

Ramallah

On 21/05/2017, the Israeli Occupying Forces seized multiple Activists and leaders of the Palestinian Civil Society such as Abed Al Razeq Faraj a member of the PNGO Steering Committee, I’tiraf Rimawi Director of Bisan Center for Research & Development and Naser Abu Khuduir a Human Rights Activists from Jerusalem. PNGO calls for the immediate release of all Palestinian Political Prisoners including Abed Al Razeq Faraj, I’tiraf Rimawi and Naser Abu Khuduir. PNGO also calls for ending the illegal policy of employing administrative detention to silence Human Rights Activists and suppress Political Activists freedom of speech and expression.

Palestinian Non Government Organizations have been especially targeted through disrupting and preventing them from implementing humanitarian and development programs in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

PNGO calls upon the International Community to seriously interfere and protect Palestinian Human Rights Activists that are continuously harassed by the Israeli Occupying Forces to prevent them from advocating for Palestinian Human Rights and ensuring that International Humanitarian law and International Law is upheld. Ending Occupation is that most essential priority and we need the International Community to act to hold Israel accountable and influence Israel to release the Human Rights and Civil Society Activists.
