The Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations Network (PNGO)calls for an International Investigation about Al-Shifa Hospital Massacre in the Gaza Strip and demands the Provision of Field Hospitals 

As the war on the Gaza Strip entered its seventh month, the occupation forces had completely destroyed and burned the buildings of the specialized surgery, the emergency, the cancer and burns, the outpatient, the kidney, the newborn, and the refrigerators of the dead during their siege of the hospital which lasted for more than 14 days.

They executed and killed more than 400 martyrs and arrested more than 300 patients, displaced civilians and medical staff.

Al-Shifa Hospital used to hold 750 beds, 26 operating rooms, and 30 intensive care rooms, which are all now out of service. Therefore, the population in Gaza and northern Gaza remains without a hospital or medical care. Newborns, kidney and cancer patients, and others are facing inevitable death as a result of the lack of another hospital in the North.

In this regard, PNGO calls for an international investigation about the massacre at Al-Shifa Hospital, which resulted in the destruction of the hospital, the killing, the executions, and detention of medical staff, displaced persons and patients.

PNGO also demands the provision of field hospitals with medical staff and doctors of various specialties in order to rescue the sick and wounded before it is too late.

The failure to hold the occupation accountable for its crimes against the medical system, after it carried out massacres in the Ahli Arab Hospital (Al-Baptist) and Nasser and Al-Amal, was as a green light to destroy Al-Shifa Hospital.
