A statement issued by the Palestinian Non-Governmental Organization Network (PNGO) on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People
Towards the Broadest International Coalition to End Injustice Against the Palestinian People and Halt the War of Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing
Ramallah\ Gaza 28\11\2024
The Palestinian Non-Governmental Organization Network (PNGO), on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, observed annually on November 29th, highlights the ongoing and brutal open war of genocide that has persisted for 419 consecutive days. This war of genocide has tragically resulted in over 44,000 deaths, 150,000 injuries, and 10,000 individuals trapped under rubble. Additionally, approximately two million people have been displaced, now facing harsh living conditions and starvation.
PNGO confirms that the international efforts initiated since the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants on January 21st against the Prime Minister of the occupation and his Minister of War must persist with strength and determination. These efforts should not yield to pressures from the United States. This decision reaffirms the ICC's role in upholding justice and peace, rejecting the injustices endured by the Palestinian people for 76 years since the Nakba and the ongoing suffering that continues to this day.
The International Day of Solidarity, marked by marches and events worldwide, underscores the urgent need to mobilize broad international coalitions of societal and popular forces, parliaments, humanitarians, and human rights institutions. These coalitions aim to halt the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people and address the humanitarian and relief needs of the Gaza Strip, where famine looms over an already dire situation, particularly in the north and center.
This day also calls for the withdrawal of occupation forces from the Gaza Strip, the lifting of the unjust siege, and a strong international commitment to halt the plans of "decisiveness" and Judaization in the occupied West Bank. It demands real pressure on the occupation forces to cease their racist measures, including the siege of Palestinian governorates, the dismemberment of Palestinian land through colonial settlements and checkpoints, and the continuous arrest campaigns, abuse, repression, and daily torture, especially in the northern West Bank, Tubas, and occupied Jerusalem.
PNGO reaffirms the importance of international efforts through events, activities, and marches to highlight the need for expanding boycott campaigns against the occupation state. This includes pressuring governments to halt trade agreements, especially those involving weapons, and organizing campaigns to boycott occupation products. PNGO calls for Israel to be internationally recognized as an entity practicing organized terrorism against an unarmed people, aiming to terminate its membership in the United Nations and its various institutions. Additionally, PNGO emphasizes the need for steps and measures to ensure the arrest of Netanyahu and his Minister of War, Galant, by implementing the ICC’s arrest warrants to enforce international justice alongside other Israeli military leaders and the far-right government in Israel.
At the internal level, PNGO calls on the Palestinian leadership, the PLO, and the Palestinian Authority to take concrete steps to protect their people. This includes immediately withdrawing recognition of the occupation entity and addressing internal issues by unifying the internal front to strengthen the resilience of the citizens. PNGO urges the unification of the Palestinian political system based on partnership, ensuring the participation of all Palestinian actors and parties. Additionally, PNGO rejects the formulas of "community" committees or other names proposed by the United States or regional parties, which align with the Israeli vision for the post-war period.
PNGO salutes the free people of the world who take to the streets to express their support for our people in their plight and the ongoing attempts to uproot them from their homeland and ethnically cleanse them, as was done in 1948. PNGO reaffirms that our people are not isolated and that the world respects their legitimate struggle; in contrast, the occupation is the isolated party today.
In this context, PNGO calls for transforming these broad marches into political decisions that support the Palestinian people's right to exercise their legitimate and inalienable rights. This includes providing international protection against the policies of occupation, backed by an international will that favors the oppressed, to achieve justice for the victims, end the policy of double standards, and enable the Palestinian people to attain self-determination, independence, and the right of refugees to return to their homes from which they were displaced.
